Global Career Launch is pleased to offer the exciting city of Washington, DC as an option for your 6-week unpaid internship and cultural experience.
Located on the eastern coast, Washington is one of the best-known cities in the United States. Washington is a true international city rich in history and culture and is the center of politics and international affairs in America. The city is famous for its large number of museums, national monuments, and contemporary lifestyle. Take a walk past the White House, visit the Smithsonian Museum, or go shopping and enjoy a café in the Georgetown neighborhood.
Spending a summer living and working in the United States provides every participant with life-long memories and important professional growth. Over six weeks you’ll learn more about work-life and culture the United States. You’ll enhance your resume with an eye-catching American internship and have an interesting story to talk about during job interviews when you graduate from University!

* In case of Visa denial by the U.S. Consulate, all payments will be returned minus a $100 administrative fee. Proof of visa denial from the U.S. Consulate required (either letter of denial or denial stamp in passport).

Spirit of Washington Boat Cruise
Quite simply, a Spirit cruise is the perfect outing. A magical setting enhanced by splendid views of our nation's capital. An evening filled to the brim with wonderful cuisine, music and dancing make this the ultimate Washington experience.
Come aboard and enjoy the most entertaining lunchtime experience in Washington featuring our Grande Buffet! This two-hour cruise on Washington’s historic harbor is perfect for an afternoon getaway.
International Spy Museum
Welcome to the International Spy Museum and the world of espionage.
Learn about the authentic tradecraft that has been used throughout time and around the world. Hear spies, in their own words, describe the challenges and the "game" of spying.
National Museum of Natural History
The National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) is part of the Smithsonian Institution, the world’s preeminent museum and research complex. The Museum is dedicated to inspiring curiosity, discovery, and learning about the natural world through its unparalleled research, collections, exhibitions, and education outreach programs.
National Air and Space Museum
The Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum maintains the largest collection of historic air and spacecraft in the world. It is also a vital center for research into the history, science, and technology of aviation and space flight, as well as planetary science and terrestrial geology and geophysics.
Six Flags America
The highly popular Six Flags park has a wonderful collection of thirteen coasters that includes everything from traditional woodies to a bone-rattling hypercoaster. Six Flags America offers over 75 rides and attractions!
Free Weekend
This is your chance to independently travel, explore, and/or relax. You will have two free weekends (Including one 4-day weekend) to use as you please. You can use this time to explore other activities in your host city or you can travel to any other destination within the United States. Last year, students went to New York, Los Angeles, and Florida on their Free weekends! July 4 is a national holiday in the United States and travel is very popular on that weekend; please keep this in mind if you would like to travel. Your travel and activities for this weekend are not included in your program.
